Home › Health Insurance in The Woodlands, Texas

The Woodlands is a master-planned community north of Houston, mostly in Montgomery County. Its villages are home to families, professionals, and a growing number of residents nearing retirement.

That mix means our team hears two big questions here. How do I get coverage on my own before 65? And what happens when Medicare starts?

Guardian Insurance Services helps with both. A licensed agent walks you through Marketplace and Medicare options in plain English.

The Woodlands health insurance FAQ

Q: I’m 63 and retiring. Should I use the Marketplace until Medicare?

A: Many people do. Losing job-based coverage usually opens a Special Enrollment Period. Once you’re eligible for Medicare, Marketplace premium help generally ends, so plan the switch ahead.

Q: When can I change my Medicare plan?

A: During Medicare Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7. That’s different from Marketplace open enrollment.

Q: Do Medigap plans with the same letter cover the same things?

A: Yes. Plans with the same letter have the same standardized benefits. Plans with different letters differ.
